Portland and beyond.

I mentioned in my last post that Ethan, Sydney and I went to Portland. Ethan had a great time at the meet. We flew over on Friday, he competed, we turned around and flew home on Saturday. We saw Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. Sydney was a late addition to the trip. Christopher was planning on staying home on Friday with Adam and Sydney, instead he was in ISRAEL. Thanks to the other kids and neighbors for filling in the gap.

Christopher's company is in the process of buying a company that has operations in both Israel and Singapore. He has been to Singapore twice and Israel once in the last month and a half. Can you say Jet Lag? The kids have been very helpful- which I appreciate.

Ethan qualified for Regionals despite this harrowing experience. He placed 2nd on the rings and had a high enough all around score to advance.

Regionals are back in Portland. I say back, because we have been there once this year for a huge meet with a team even coming from Japan.

Sydney's First Birthday

Sydney had a great first birthday. We made cupcakes for her.  It took her a while for her to decide she was going to eat one, but it didn't take her long to finish it.  She is hilarious.  She loves the camera and is the queen of silly expressions.  She runs the house and has everyone wrapped around her little fingers. She is walking/running and says quite a few words.  The other day I was talking about Walla Walla to some of the kids and from the backseat we heard her say Walla Walla.  It was too funny. Her favorite words are Go and Hot.  If you are holding her she will grab your shoulders, look you right in the face and tell you to GO!  The other day I noticed Preston walking around the whole house holding her as she pointed GO,GO,GO. Luckily she has brothers and a sister who adore her and will follow her every command.

Adam is 3!

Adam turned 3 on February 8th. 

He wanted a cake that had lots of sprinkles. 

The other kids absolutely spoiled him.  How can you say no to this cute face?

Christopher was gone to Singapore on his birthday, so we saved the PoJo activity for Saturday.

Adam had a blast riding the carousel and playing games with the kids.

This is a perfect game for a toddler, it let's you keep playing until you win!!

Ethan the gymnast

Ethan started competitive gymnastics the first of December. He is competing with kids who have been in Gymnastics for years. He started going to Gymnastics with Jordan this summer. He quickly progressed to needing a coach who is more experienced with boys. In his last meet, he got 2nd in the all around competition.

Sydney Walking

Sydney has been walking for about a month now. She is so cute and tiny and surprisingly fast.

Christmas

We had a great and relaxing Christmas.  We got a pingpong table and a Karaoke machine.  The kids (and parents) have enjoyed both. 

Adam was so excited to wrap up an old mouse for Sydney.  As you can see it was a great hit.

I had the best Christmas Present ever. 

 Christopher had a very talented artist Doug Nightengale paint a water color portrait of my parents.

It made me cry...for days.
